Eyelash extensions should not be confused with the self-stick false eyelashes of yesteryear or individual clusters of lashes knotted together that are a single-event accessory. Eyelash extensions are semi-permanent, synthetic extensions that are attached one by one onto the natural lash (not the skin) by using a specially formulated glue that last 4-6 weeks.
Yes, but you won’t need mascara and you may even find you won’t need eyeliner. You can still use eyeliner and eye shadows as usual, but remember to remove your make-up with a water based make-up remover.
Nope, that is just a myth. Eyelashes have a cycle and are constantly being replaced like your hair. If you pull on an extension lash and pull out your natural lash there will be no new lash ready to grow to take its place and you will have to wait 6-8 weeks for that lash to grow.
A single natural eyelash is isolated and a synthetic lash is glued to the top of your own natural eyelash approximately 1mm from the eyelid so neither the glue or the synthetic lash come into contact with the skin.
The procedure will take approximately 1 hour for a full set, approximately 30-45 minutes for a half set and 30 min-1 hour for an in-fill.
Fills are when the natural eyelash has fallen out (due to the eyelash cycle) and there has been an extension lash applied to it. You will require in-fills every 3-6 weeks if you would like to achieve a full fresh set of lashes.
Microblading is a semi-permanent cosmetic make-up done where small amounts of pigments are injected into the superficial layer of the skin using a sterile pen and blade.
Microblading is a two-step process, consisting of an initial procedure and a follow up 4-6 weeks after the procedure. Following the before photo being taken, we can determine the pigment colour that best suits you. Shortly after a topical anesthetic will be applied to numb the area where we then inject the ink. During the time of healing, it is normal to experience some pigment loss, which is why there is a second procedure, 4-6 weeks following the initial procedure.
You are advised to keep the skin clean and dry. We ask our clients to avoid swimming, sweating or getting the area wet. In addition, clients should avoid tanning or prolonged sun exposure; do not pick or peel at the brow area. Refrain from washing your face and hair until they are healed.
It can last as long as it’s maintained. Untouched, the ink will last 1-3 years.
The appointment can take approximately 2 hours this includes the consultation and brow mapping.
Depending on your skin you may consider getting a small touch up in areas that are beginning to fade. We recommend touch ups every 6 months to a year.
You may feel some discomfort in the beginning; however, there is a topical anesthetic that is used to numb the area. Some say that the feeling is similar to tweezing or threading.
Depending on the individual’s skin it can take between 7-10 days to completely heal.
